[ as soon as hitesh sees a letter by the door, he takes it to rayfa to read. and once again, she uses her panda stationery to respond. ]
Braid Head,
It is not a mistake. It is another present. Is it not to your liking? I thought we could all match -- as both father and mother have one, I have also bought one for the both of us.
If you do not wish to have it, then please let me know. I believe I still have time to give it to someone else as a Christmas present.
It is to my liking; it is simply so beautiful that I thought it might belong to you, since you did not disclose it in the initial letter. However, I am very grateful to receive it. I shall keep it with me always.
[ and he gets another one from hitesh. the cat basically scratches on nahyuta's door and mews until the door is opened. ]
Braid Head,
Mine is pink, like mother's, and yours is a shade of violet. I have also given father one that is pink and green, so that he will not forget me. Horn Head has a red one. Now we all match. Is that not amazing?
When I found these necklaces being sold at a local bazaar, I had to get them immediately. There was even a man who claimed he was buying the pink one for his fiancèe, however, I did not let him have his way.
[Nahyuta gets distracted by petting Hitesh when he comes back, so it takes a while for him to read Rayfa's reply and pen a response. Eventually, though, it arrives.]
Your Benevolence,
Thank you for thinking of Apollo as well. Such a gesture is very considerate of you. I hope he feels the same way, and has accepted your kindness.
[ ugh... she literally groans once she reads nahyuta's response, mostly annoyed that apollo is part of the family. she just wants dhurke all to herself :( nahyuta is lucky that rayfa even thought of him. ]
Braid Head,
I cannot become a kind and gracious Queen if I do not think of my people. Horn Head may not be Khura'inese, however, he is father's family. I cannot ignore that fact.
[ she doesn't even end her letter with "truly yours" this time around. too much effort! ]
