[Nahyuta ducks briefly into the kitchen first to set down the groceries, but he'll unpack them later. He goes to sit down, the air around him finally starting to feel a little cooler than before, and looks over at Rayfa.]

I do not know what I should feel. I also do not know what response to give, which is why I told him to wait.

Then you did the right thing, in telling him to wait. What is most important is that you search within yourself for your own feelings, and give him an answer only when you are ready.

If you decide you reciprocate his feelings and would like to date him, then you can accept his offer. If you do not reciprocate, you can politely decline, and hope he will be happy to continue your friendship.

Is he a good man? Is it proper to see someone who is not of the same social standing? What does one do on a "date"? How and when will I know how I feel? What do you think of this?

I do not know him very well as of yet, but from my first impression, I would think he is a good person. [Unlike other people she chooses for company...] And yes, the Queen has the right to court whomever she chooses.
[Dhurke had been a lawyer, after all, and not even someone high ranking within the Khura'inist clergy. It was not an arrangement of politics or religion, but simply love.]
As for what one does on a date, has he suggested anything yet? A meal together one evening, perhaps, or a day spent in one another's company?
