[It had admittedly slipped Nahyuta's mind that this day had any significance in Ema's country. Nonetheless, the chocolates are gratefully received, and he hurries to return the favour in kind. She receives some chocolates in return -- although not handmade, given the last-minute nature of the gift -- along with a single red rose.]

Dear Detective Skye,

Thank you for the kind gifts, and I hope you will accept mine in return. Although in Khura'in a cut flower might represent the mere transience and fragility of life, I have read that abroad, it can also be used as a token of affection. That is my intention here.

Likewise, I must thank you for the generous support you have given to me. I consider your companionship as something to be treasured above all gifts.
